Bene Falls to Top Seed in Joplin

After a solid win over Australian Nathan Healey, Bene went down in the 2nd round of the Freeman $50k Challenger in Joplin to Michael Russell 64 63. Russell is the top seed in the event and the 2nd consecutive top 100 player Benedikt has lost to after his finals match with Robert Kendrick in Dallas.

Bene, Lammer and Jean Luc are on their way to Memphis for the qualifying event of the Morgan Keegan ATP Championships.

Dorsch returns to top 200 after big week in Dallas

Bene climbed almost 40 spots in the ATP rankings and is safely back in the top 200 after reaching the final of the TBarM Challenger in Dallas. Although Robert Kendrick defeated Bene 63 64 on Saturday night, it was a terrific run.

Bene is now in Joplin preparing for the $50k challenger in the small Missouri town.

Bene Through to Semis in Dallas

Dorsch posted another straight set win at the TBarM Challenger in Dallas. Bene defeated Todd Widom 64 64 and now plays Swede, Markus Sarstrand. Sarstrand, ranked 422, is having a breakthrough week, but Dorsch is fine form and it will be tough stopping him as he attempts to reach his first Challenger final and return to the top 200.

Bene Wins Opener in Dallas

Benedikt defeated Brian Wilson in the first round of the TBarM $50k challenger in Dallas. He next plays Phillip Simmonds who upset 3rd seed, Kristian Pless. This is only the 4th tournament back from a 4-month break from tournaments so it's good to see his game is rounding into form so quickly.
