Benedikt captured his first career Challenger title at the Penza Open in Penza, Russia. Bene's win catapults him 63 spots up to 199. This was on the heels of a difficult stretch for Bene where he failed to win a main draw match in seven consecutive events. Bene proved again that when he is on his game and confident he can go far in events. In reaching the finals Bene did not drop a set and defeated top seed Israeli Dudi Sela. In the Semifinals the Russian Kudriatsev had no chance going down 61 63 before the finals against another tough young Russian...Mikhael Lekodvisikh. After splitting two long sets Dorsch ran away with the third set 6-1 to claim the title.
Dorsch is exhausted from difficult traveling conditions in vast Russia and is looking forward to a few days off before some matches for the his Bundisleague team this weekend.
